To answer your questions - generally, I am a big fan of light weight frameworks. Every bit of performance to my applications is always critical, so that I am not interested in either. For my apps, each click in Drupal involves way too many database queries; Rails is too rigid and has too many layers of abstraction. My apps are in bioinformatics domain. I'm interested in setting up a bioinfomatics shop in Shanghai area. Interested Linux / Ruby / R / LISP / GNU / FOSS hackers please contact me directly - I don't want to cross post too much.
